Since 2022 I have had many wonderful opportunities to work on local murals in Atlanta, GA. My first two started by simple assistance work with an artist named Shannon Willow. Beginning in 2024, I started working with Paint Love, where I was an integral part of the teaching, installation, and correction process of 8 different student and community murals. These murals made space for students and adults to have the opportunity to paint murals and contribute to their communities.
HANDEL'S ICE CREAM: ATLANTA, GA, USA
Local Atlanta high school, Midtown High, partnered with Paint Love and Handel's Ice Cream to design and install a mural to promote the business. This brought our murals outside of school settings and into more public forward spaces.
LILBURN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: GWINNETT COUNTY, GA, USA
My first mural as a Staff Artist with Paint Love was a collaboration with local Atlanta artist, Sway Art, to create this mural in an elementary school just outside of Atlanta. Pictured is the wall after student input and just before final touches were added by the artist.
LOCKHEED MARTIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: MARIETTA, GA, USA
My first volunteer experience with Paint Love was working on a mural at an elementary school. This opened the door to me becoming a Staff Artist with the organization. This picture was taken during the correction process after letting the students paint on the wall. This is just a portion of the 30 foot wall we painted.
UHUBERG CASTLE: HELEN, GA, USA
My mentor was hired to paint a mural at a castle that hires artists to highlight different world belief systems. I worked on the lettering and parts of the imagery of the Turtle Island Creation Stories.
INMAN PARK, ATLANTA, GA, USA
My first mural assistance was for my mentor, Shannon Willow, included drawing and painting black birds and rounding out flowers on a hummingbird mural for a private photography studio in one of Atlanta's most popular neighborhoods.
